It is a no-brainer to think that you cannot have it sorted out rather simply. It is 2019, and we live in a digitized age where we can have all sorts of convenience, even when it comes to editing WordPress pages.
Before you do…
There’s absolutely no need to rush with the process of website editing. The first thing you will need to do here is completely backup your website. Chances are, a backup will save your important data and information which you cannot retrieve if lost permanently…
So, be smart and run a full backup. Backup everything you currently have on the platform. It could be that you miss any step or do something horribly wrong, only to see yourself going back to square one. Not just that, but losing all of your important data and saying goodbye to your site. So, to prevent such an irreversible disaster, backup your WordPress now.
Manage WordPress pages
WordPress pages are an important element. Thanks to them we can create new content in a fast and dynamic way, simply by adding a new page and that’s it. Before they existed, there were only “Tickets”, and everything was much more limited
The pages allow us to create structured and hierarchical content since each page can have as many subpages as we want, and in turn, those subpages can have more subpages. In addition, the structure of URLs that remain is very clean and usable.

Edit WordPress using plugins

Edit Your Themes
Following the theme of customizing your WordPress website, you can personalize it however you like it. Once you get the theme of your preference, now you have to do website edits. To begin with WordPress edit, first navigate to Appearance, then you go to page Topics / Themes page. There on the Themes page, find a theme that is active and working, (as an example, we will use Twenty Fourteen in this example) and click on the Customize / Customize button on the title.
On the next screen, you will find a page where you can make changes to your WordPress theme in real-time basis. Just to the left you will find a complete list of the options available, and on the right, a preview of the website will be available. This way you can check how the changes you made would affect your page if they become effective.
The theme personalization page allows you to modify the title and the slogan or tagline on your website, in addition to distinguishing how your website will be displayed simultaneously while you modify it. To do this, expand the options for adjusting the Title ( Title ) and Slogan ( Tagline ) of the web. As you type in the text box, you will see the new text appear in the preview that appears on the right. Once you are satisfied with the result, click on the Save and Publish button.
How to customize the WordPress homepage
WordPress allows you to choose between two options for the open page of your website: a static page or a list of the latest blog entries, in addition to a part of the content. You can configure this other option from the theme personalization page. Extensive menu Home Static / Static Front Page and see the options available.
WordPress will show you the latest messages on the main page by default. However, you can change this option and put a static page. This will present you with two more options: select a page that will be displayed on the main page, and on which page the posts will be displayed. For both options, you can choose the pages of the list of all the pages you have published. If the list is empty, it means you don’t have any pages created on your website.
Additional customizations of WordPress themes
There may be other template editor options on that page, depending on the theme you are using. Twenty Fourteen theme, for example, lets you to alter the colours of the title and background. Also, add a background image and other features. Once you are satisfied with the effect, simple click on the “save” option and then “publish” option to save the effect.
Steps to edit content in WordPress
Let’s see the steps to edit the WordPress content of your pages and posts. We start by editing a page or article that you have previously created. First, click on the title of the page or entry you want to modify in the list where you have your content.
Another option is to click on the “Edit” link that appears below the title when you mouse over each row. The screen that appears will be exactly the same as the “Add new” screen, with the difference that in this case, the existing content is displayed. Change everything you want and when you finish editing the content, click on the “Update” button (if not, you will not save the changes).
Sometimes, what interests you is not to edit content in WordPress, but to delete it.
To do this, click on the “Trash” link that appears below the title when you put the mouse over each row. This will move the page or the entry to the trash.
To permanently delete content or to restore one that you have sent to the trash in an impulse that you regret (or if you delete it by mistake), click on the “Trash” link that appears at the top of the screen.
When the mouse pointer is placed on each item in the bin, you will see the “Restore” and “Permanently erase” links appear.
As you will be imagining, if you click on “Delete permanently” you will delete this content from the map of your WordPress. And if you select the “Restore” option, the page or entry will leave the trash, and you will have it available again among your content.
And if you want to permanently delete several elements at once for WordPress formatting or restore them at the same time? You can do it without a problem.
Click on the check boxes to the left of each title and then choose “Restore” or “Permanently erase” from the drop-down menu called “Batch Actions” that you will see at the top of the page.
After selecting the corresponding action, click on the “Apply” button.
